Quality and traceability
A specification published on a website describes a design. What you bought is one specific motor, built on one specific day, from one specific lot of steel and magnet and wire. We measure that motor, record what we measured, and tie it to a serial number you can read off the part for as long as the part exists.
How it works
No paperwork to lose, no envelope taped to a box, no sticker that dissolves the first time it meets isopropyl. The serial and its scan code are laser marked into the bell. Point a phone at the code and you land on that motor's record. Or type the serial into the lookup page and get the same thing.

Your motor on our bench, on the propeller we recommend for that wind. Thrust, current, RPM, electrical power, efficiency, and winding temperature rise across the working range. If your unit came in under the family average, the record says so instead of rounding it away.

Every rotor is dynamically balanced and the measured residual unbalance is recorded in g.mm against your serial, before and after correction. A number you can compare beats the phrase "precision balanced" every time.

If a problem ever surfaces in the field, we can tell you exactly what else shares that history and how far it reaches. That is the difference between a recall and a phone call.

We are not the only copy of your documentation, and you are not dependent on us being around in ten years to prove what you bought.
Signed PDF · Download and archiveDefense and aerospace purchase orders routinely require a certificate of conformance to arrive with the shipment, and receiving inspection will hold parts that show up without one. Federal line orders ship with a printed, signed certificate in the box in addition to the online record. Commercial line orders can have one on request.

A certificate of conformance is one page stating that the item was built to the released drawing at a stated revision, inspected, and accepted, signed by the person who accepted it. Quality departments ask for this on nearly every purchase order. Almost nobody selling motors in this size class can produce one.

Certificates reference the released drawing revision in effect at the time of build. If a drawing revision changes what you receive in a material way, we tell you before we ship, not after.
A note on published numbers
Thrust and efficiency depend enormously on propeller, pack voltage, air density, and temperature. A single headline thrust number tells you almost nothing useful, and the industry habit of publishing the best result from the best sample on the best day is how buyers end up disappointed.
So we publish per serial, we state the propeller and the conditions, and we do not average away the units that came in low. Where we quote a range for the family, it is a range, and your unit's actual numbers are on its record.
